How to Add Yoga to a Corporate Offsite in the Hunter Valley

To add yoga to a Hunter Valley corporate offsite, choose one of three placements: a 7am experience to open the day, a mid-afternoon experience to reset the room, or a pre-dinner experience paired with a tasting. Book four to six weeks ahead, confirm a clear floor space of two metres by two metres per guest, and let your team know the evening before. Mats and facilitators are brought to you.

Where does yoga actually belong in an offsite run sheet?

This is the question worth answering first, because a well-curated experience in the wrong slot lands poorly.

The 7am opener. Held before breakfast on the second morning. Attendance is voluntary and typically lands between 60 and 80 per cent, which is healthy. Guests who join arrive at the first session awake and settled. Guests who do not join still benefit, because the room they walk into is calmer.

The 2pm reset. Scheduled directly into the agenda rather than offered alongside it. Forty-five minutes, gentle, in the breakout room with the tables moved. This is the placement to choose when your agenda is dense and your afternoon content matters.

The pre-dinner unwind. Up to two hours from around 5pm, flowing into a wine or spirits tasting. This is our Stretch and Sip experience, and it is the most requested placement for offsites in the Hunter Valley. It resolves the dead hour between the final session and dinner, and it gives your group something shared to carry into the evening.

Choose one per day, or add a meditation refresher interval to break things up. Two experiences in a two or three-day offsite works beautifully. Three begins to feel like a retreat, which may not be what your executive sponsor approved.

What does your venue need to provide?

Roughly two metres by two metres of clear floor per guest. For twelve guests, that is a comfortable breakout room with the tables pushed back. For twenty-five, a cleared ballroom, a terrace or a lawn.

You will also want somewhere for guests to leave shoes and bags, and a bathroom within reasonable reach if the experience runs before dinner.

Everything else comes with us. Mats, props, blocks, straps and the facilitator. Wine Body & Spirits curates mobile wellness experiences across the Hunter Valley, Sydney and Australia's major wine regions, which means we come to your venue rather than moving your group to a studio.

What should you tell your team beforehand?

More than you might think, and in a particular tone.

Send a short note the evening before. Three points are enough:

  1. The experience is gentle and suits complete beginners. Nobody will be asked to do anything difficult.

  2. Comfortable clothes they can move in. Activewear is welcome but not required. Anything they would wear on a relaxed Sunday is fine.

  3. Joining is entirely optional.

That third point does more work than the first two. Corporate groups attend willingly when attendance is genuinely voluntary, and reluctantly when it is not. Our facilitators are experienced with guests who arrive sceptical and leave surprised. That conversion happens far more readily when nobody has been marched in.

How do you handle the guests who would rather not?

Some will decline, and that is entirely reasonable.

If the group is mixed and you would prefer everyone included, consider a sound bath or a guided meditation instead. Neither requires movement, changing clothes or any physical confidence. Guests remain seated or lying still. It is the most inclusive experience we host, and the one we recommend where a team is genuinely divided.

What does it cost?

Corporate wellness experiences without a tasting are priced per experience rather than per delegate, starting from $495. That means you book a capacity rather than a headcount, and you are not penalised when half the room decides to join at the last minute.

Paired experiences, movement followed by a curated tasting or cocktail masterclass, start from $129 per delegate, with a ten-delegate minimum.

Where we come to your office or your accommodation rather than a partner venue, a flat fee applies to cover the additional set-up and logistics.

Add-ons are available where you would like the experience to extend further: a brunch or Aperitivo grazing table, an additional cocktail, and company-branded mats for teams who would like something to take home, from $149 per guest with a minimum two months' lead time.

Tell us your group size, your venue and your agenda and we will send a tailored quote.

How do you book it?

  1. Confirm your offsite dates and venue.

  2. Decide which of the three placements suits your agenda.

  3. Book online through our bookings page for groups up to 25, or contact us for larger groups and bespoke curation.

  4. Confirm your indoor and outdoor spaces with your venue.

  5. Send the note to your team the evening before.

Four to six weeks ahead is our published lead time. Shorter notice is frequently accommodated. Do not be disheartened if you cannot find a time on the booking page for the Hunter Valley or Sydney. We have a team of facilitators and many partner venues available, and we are often able to accommodate more than one booking at any given time, subject to availability.

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply yoga mats? Yes. Mats are included for up to 25 guests. Beyond 25, mat hire is charged per mat we supply, and where your venue has its own mats you are welcome to use theirs. Company-branded mats for guests to keep are available from $149 each with two months' lead time.

Can the experience be held outdoors? Yes, and the Hunter Valley lends itself to it beautifully. Where we arrange your venue, both indoor and outdoor options are secured. Where you have booked your own venue, confirm an indoor alternative at the same time.

What if nobody in our team has done yoga? That describes most of the groups we host. Experiences are curated for complete beginners and facilitators offer gentler options throughout.

Can you also host our team in Sydney? Yes. We host in-office and venue-based experiences across Sydney as well as the Hunter Valley and other major Australian cities and wine regions.

How long before the offsite should we book? Four to six weeks. Peak season weekends between October and April are worth securing earlier.
